Nothern Hemisphere Farewell Tour: third stop

Our most recent adventure had us across the pond in jolly old England. We spent a whirlwind day in London visiting friends and stuffing our faces. Our fab friends George and Marilie took us to the most unique pizza spot in Brick Lane (very surprising to be in Brick Lane and not have a curry!) called StoryDeli. Everything is certified organically grown, and the pizzas have the most awesome thin crust. Heavenly. We swapped stories, laughed a lot, and drank a scrumptious bottle of prosecco. Sadly, there isn't a picture to show for it.

From London we took the train up to York, where the fam was gathered for many celebratory reasons not the least of which was mama M-B's 60th birthday.

We also got to play and snuggle with our two nephews. James is just about 3 weeks shy of his 2nd birthday, and Matthew is fresh out of the oven at 7 weeks.

One of the happy surprises of the trip was throwing my sis in law Sarah a baby shower, while the men simultaneously celebrated with her husband Andreas.  Kate picked a fab spot to host, and the ladies spoiled Sarah accordingly!

And what is a holiday without some fun food?! Brendan and I had a breakfast date at Betty's and dined on a Swiss rosti with wine and cream mushrooms and a Welsh rarebit. Delish!

We also made Sue a very celebratory milk tart (we have a great and easy recipe that I'll share sometime) for her party. Trust me, it tasted as good as it looks!

next stop: Cleveland, Ohio!
