another kak day in africa

I love that phrase (no need for a translation here, I would imagine). On the most lovely days in town you'll hear plenty of people saying it, basking in the irony. Last weekend we took Bluebell on her first day trip up to West Coast National Park. The lack of winter rainfall put a big damper on the amount of wildflowers, but we still enjoyed our kak day in Africa with a picnic on the beach and all.
