Northern Hemisphere Farewell Tour: first stop

We leave for Cape Town in just under 4 months (!!), and decided that this spring and summer will be dedicated to seeing many of the faces we will miss so much. Thus the Farewell Tour started in Chelsea, Quebec with Trevor and Dale, and their little boys Jahro and Zion.

We had a grand ol' Canadian time, involving plenty of real maple syrup.  We saw Ottawa, practiced our French, cheered at Jahro's swimming class, ate copious amounts of pancakes and rode snow mobiles at Trevor's family's farm (sadly, not at the same time), Jahro and I shared a beaver tail, and we snuggled the little ones lots and lots.

We also shared some laughs while perusing pictures from Brendan and Trevor's travels through Africa (they met in Nairobi, Kenya in 2000), enjoying glimpses of them in their younger days. It was a wonderful trip with such special people, and we hope to see them in Cape Town soon.

Next stop: San Francisco!

  1. That's so fun! I can't believe it's only four months away now!! So good you have time to see peeps and say goodbye's. Even though we won't be in the same city, we'll love having you in our country now! Hey - do you have your plane tickets booked yet?
